After a record-breaking 2015, KANE WILLIAMSON became the first New Zealander to top the ICC world test cricket batting rankings. This achievement came off the back of five test centuries and scoring more runs than any other New Zealand batsman in a calendar year.
In April 2016 the 25 year old was named Wisden’s 2015 Leading Cricketer in the World – the first New Zealander to be awarded this title. This achievement followed him further enhancing his reputation when he was named as both Cricketer of the Year and Test Player of the Year at the 2016 New Zealand Cricket Awards. Williamson also won New Zealand Sportsman of the Year at the 2016 Halberg Awards.
